About

Hi, my name is Dominik Vsetecka and I'm 40 years old. I have been a professional creative in Vienna since 2007, working for companies in both digital and analog spaces. As a generalist, I prefer to dive into digital UX/UI projects and brand strategies, and I never shy away from the unknown. Advertising campaigns, photo shoots, video productions, and the conceptual development of ideas are all part of my daily craft. Electronic music, friendships, and intercultural experiences are the most important pillars in my life. My work is driven by change, reflection, and adventure.

My story

I've been fascinated by media and technology since I was a kid: computers, games and my dad's records, from Pink Floyd to experimental electronic music of the 80s. At "die Graphische" in Vienna I focused on photography and multimedia, and spent my free time with music production, modular synthesis and digital side projects.

In my twenties I was part of Vienna's indie and newcomer electronic music scene. I photographed events with the Beatmaker Sessions crew, DJed and VJed at places like Fluc, Celeste and Schikaneder, and shot concerts and album covers. For several years I also created social media content for Coca-Cola Austria as part of a creative team at VIRTUE/VICE.

From 2012 to 2015 I was lead creative art director at the Austrian startup whatchado. It taught me how much a profession that feels like a calling shapes the rest of your life.

From 2016 to 2025 I led teams and campaigns as Senior Art Director at CIDCOM, from print to digital, branding and strategy. Since April 2025 I'm at Swat.io. Across startups, e-learning, automotive, food, public service and advertising, one thing stayed the same for me: strategic thinking and honest reflection make the difference between work that looks good and work that works.

    Senior Digital Media Designer

    Since April 2025, I've been a full-time member of the Swat.io team ✨

    I'm in charge of the creative development of our brand: visuals, productions, UI and UX, design and graphic design. I also keep building on our design and brand strategy.

    Naturally, with how fast marketing is changing right now, a lot of my work is about AI. I build automations around creatives and assets that make our production faster and more consistent, so the team has more room for ideas and craft. And I bring the same cultural perspective that has always shaped my work.

    What I love: designing things that connect with clarity, emotion and purpose, and turning complex challenges into simple, meaningful solutions that last.
