All the good mood I'm collecting.
Last updated: 11 October 2026
This website is built to collect as little data as possible. There are no cookies, no advertising trackers and no social media plugins. The only analytics tool is Umami, which works without cookies and does not store IP addresses.
Personal data (referred to as “data” below) is only processed to the extent necessary to provide a functional and user-friendly website, its contents and the services offered on it.
Per Art. 4 No. 1 of Regulation (EU) 2016/679, the General Data Protection Regulation (“GDPR”), “processing” refers to any operation performed on personal data, such as collection, recording, organisation, storage, adaptation, retrieval, use, disclosure, erasure or destruction, whether by automated means or not.
I. Controller
The party responsible for this website (the “controller”) for purposes of data protection law is:
Dominik Vsetecka
Gentzgasse 14-20/9/24
1180 Wien, Austria
Email: hello (at) dominikvsetecka (dot) com
II. Your rights
With regard to the data processing described below, you have the right to:
- confirmation of whether data concerning you is being processed, information about that data and copies of it (Art. 15 GDPR);
- correction or completion of incorrect or incomplete data (Art. 16 GDPR);
- erasure of data concerning you (Art. 17 GDPR) or, where further processing is required under Art. 17 Para. 3 GDPR, restriction of processing (Art. 18 GDPR);
- receive the data you provided in a structured format and have it transmitted to another controller (Art. 20 GDPR);
- object at any time to processing based on Art. 6 Para. 1 lit. f) GDPR (Art. 21 GDPR).
The controller is obliged to inform all recipients to whom data has been disclosed of any correction, erasure or restriction (Art. 16, 17 Para. 1, 18 GDPR), unless this is impossible or involves a disproportionate effort.
You also have the right to lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority (Art. 77 GDPR). In Austria, this is the Datenschutzbehörde, Barichgasse 40-42, 1030 Wien, https://www.dsb.gv.at.
III. Data processing on this website
Data is deleted as soon as the purpose for storing it no longer applies, unless statutory retention obligations require otherwise or something different is stated below.
Hosting and server log files
This website is a static website hosted by an external hosting provider. When you visit it, your browser automatically sends information that the server stores in log files: browser type and version, operating system, the referring page (referrer URL), the pages visited, date and time of the request and the IP address.
This data is needed to deliver the website and to keep it secure and stable. It is not combined with other data. The legal basis is Art. 6 Para. 1 lit. f) GDPR. My legitimate interest lies in the secure and reliable operation of the website. The hosting provider processes the data on my behalf.
No cookies, only local preferences
This website does not use cookies.
To remember a few settings you choose yourself, the website stores small values in your browser’s storage (local storage and, for the intro, session storage): your preferred colour theme (light or dark), whether interface sounds and background music are on (and, during your visit, where the music was playing so it can continue on the next page), whether you prefer tiles or a list on the Resources page, and whether the intro animation has already been shown during your current visit. These values never leave your device and are not used to identify or track you. They are technically necessary to provide the functions you requested, so no consent is required (§ 165 Para. 3 TKG 2021). You can delete them at any time through your browser settings.
Fonts
All fonts are hosted on this website’s own server. No connection to external font services such as Google Fonts is made.
Web analytics with Umami
This website uses Umami Cloud, a privacy-friendly web analytics service provided by Umami Software, Inc. Data is processed and stored in the European Union (Frankfurt, Germany).
Umami helps me understand how the website is used, for example which pages are visited, where visitors come from and which links or buttons are clicked. To do so, it collects:
- the page visited and the referring page,
- browser, operating system and device type,
- country, derived from the IP address,
- clicks on selected buttons and links (for example the contact buttons and links on the Resources page).
Umami does not use cookies and does not store anything on your device. Your IP address is only used briefly to derive the country and is not stored. Visits are counted with a pseudonymised identifier: a one-way hash of the website, your IP address, your browser’s user agent and a secret value that is replaced at regular intervals (by default monthly). After each change, earlier visits can no longer be linked to new ones, and visitors cannot be recognised across different websites. No profiles are created and no data is used for advertising.
The legal basis is Art. 6 Para. 1 lit. f) GDPR. My legitimate interest lies in understanding how the website is used in order to improve it. Because no information is stored on or read from your device, no consent is required.
Umami processes this data on my behalf as a processor under a data processing agreement (Art. 28 GDPR) that is part of Umami’s terms of service: https://umami.is/dpa. As Umami Software, Inc. is based in the United States, the agreement includes the EU Standard Contractual Clauses to safeguard any access to data from outside the EU. A list of Umami’s subprocessors is available at https://umami.is/subprocessors.
You can object to this processing at any time (Art. 21 GDPR), for example by blocking the Umami script with a content blocker. More information: https://umami.is/privacy
Contact by email
If you contact me by email, for example through the “Move ideas forward” or “Ask me anything” buttons, the data you provide (your email address and the content of your message) will be used to process and answer your request.
The legal basis is Art. 6 Para. 1 lit. b) GDPR if your request relates to a contract or pre-contractual measures, otherwise Art. 6 Para. 1 lit. f) GDPR. My legitimate interest lies in answering your request. Your data will be deleted once your request has been fully answered, unless statutory retention obligations apply.
Links to other websites
This website contains links to external websites, for example on the Resources page or to GitHub. No data is transferred to these websites until you click a link. Once you leave this website, the privacy policy of the respective provider applies.
